Three Top Tips

Here are three things that you can do to become a better manager:

  1.    Learn to let go of the technical stuff. You might find it uncomfortable to let go of what you’re good at, but it’s because you’re good at it that you were promoted!
  2. Learn to prioritise. You’ll never get it all done and you’ll never get to the end of your ‘to do’ list, so spend some time each day working out what really needs to be done.
  3.               Learn to delegate. You’ll never do it all yourself and now that you have a team to help, make sure that you ask for their help and delegate the tasks that you don’t really need to do.
